16" 5 spoke blaster et48 on Mach V

Hello I have a base mini cooper, (not an S) and i have the 16" 5 spoke blasters on it. see picture

I plan on dropping my car with Mach V's in a couple of months after birthdays and anniversaries are done. So I just wanted to know if anyone on here has a 16"x6.5 rim on some mach v's that i can see. I dont want to rub at all. I was thinking either 225/45 or 215/50. I would like to achieve tire poke like the picture in the attachment. that is my goal for poke. but it cant rub.

if anyone knows whos car this is i would love to get in contact so i can see how to get poke like that without rubbing on my stock rims and what size tire i would need. thanks for the help nam!!!

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the wheels pictured are much wider than 6.5"

That may be true. Hmm well I'd still like to know what size tires would work best. I did some research and the 225 speedometer being off issue doesn't bug me I just need to be sure they don't rub. I like the wide footprint. Would they rub if I put Mach v's on it?

If the wheels pictured are running 225 width tires then I'm going to guess that they are atleast 8" wide, possibly 8.5" due to the stretch on the tires (225's on a 7.5" wheel will sit square), but without asking the owner, I really couldn't tell you for certain. Also, I have no clue what offset those would be, which is a huge part of getting wheels to fit right.

I'd put those pictured wheels at 9" wide at least. The tires are probably 205 width. The offset is really low -- maybe +15? Unless the springs on that car are super-heavy, that thing will rub the fenders on the tires under compression. Of course, it's so low that it can't really compress the suspension very far before it runs into the ground...

My advice is to stick with the stock offset. In my opinion that super-poke/stretch look, cool as it is, is not worth the hassle and sacrifice in real-world livability.
