How do I change out a driving light bulb?

07 S w/stock xenon setup on the front. My driving light located above the fog light is out. It's the bulb that comes on when the headlights are on and the fog light is not that is out. How do I change it? Threads on this fix would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Travis

I haven't changed one, but I know that the rear of the fog/driving light unit is accessible via an access cover in the wheelwell. You'll probably need to jack up that corner and remove the wheel, unless it's possible to steer the wheel inwards far enough to clear the cover.

Take a look here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...67&hg=41&fg=10

The cover is item #7.

Cheers,

I just changed mine out last week. Very simple. Didn't have to remove the wheel, just turned it in but it is a tight squeeze. Just remove the little round access panel in the wheel well, reach in and remove the socket from the fixture by turning. Your owner's manual has instructions on how to do it.

I changed my in bumper driving lamps of my 05 MCS to Xenon a couple of weeks ago and it is very good upgrade. I took the long route and took the wheel off and unscrewed 5 of the front screws in the wheel well cover and pulled that back. It was an easy plug & play from there. I tucked the ballast in the lower part of the bumper cover and used styrofoam to keep it from rattling. Make sure you don't get the ballast in the way of the bottom bumper cover support screw. A bit time consuming, but easy to do.
