TPMS and aftermarket wheels

I bought some wheels that don't appear to be able to fit the OE TPMS sensors in them. Is there a way around this or am I just going to have to have WMW do the TPMS disable at AMVIV as the best option? It's not really a big deal as I check my pressures all the time anyway, I just would like to have everything working normally if possible.

Thanks in advanced.

No "work around"...it's a PITA. I'd have the TPMS disable done by WMW myself, I plan to at AMVIV...and I have TPMSs! (It's future thinking)

They actually manged to get them to fit and to work, only catch is that if I get a bad enough flat and drive on it too long there will be definite damage to the sensor, even before there is any damage to the wheel.

I will probably still get it disabled by WMW at AMVIV, we'll see, who knows, I'll probably wind up spending way too much money there... This will be my first AMVIV.

Thanks for your help. I'll see you down there! I'll be in a Red/White with gray wheels and a Miller Motorsports Park license plate frame from Utah.

I have seen some parts of sensors even in the proper wheels break off and roll around inside the tire after a good pot hole. Not sure how good of an idea this was.

What else would you suggest? Remove the sensors? If they're going to break, they're going to break and it won't hurt me any more then them being thrown in the garbage. Plus, I avoid potholes like the plague.

See you down there! I'll be passing through your parts mid-day Wednesday, coming from the Denver area (I-70 to I-15). CR/CR with grey and polished Konigs...Colo personalized plates of "10ZERO"...can't miss it.

BTW...is it true they're calling for a bunch of rain across Utah on Wed? Damn the luck if so...

Well you won't be up this far on that drive, but yes it is supposed to rain, though it shouldn't be as bad down south as up here. But I will see you down there Friday for sure.
