www.tarheelminis.org conveniently serves north central NC (around Winston Salem and Flow MINI) and parts of south central VA, but you can join from anywhere (free membership).

If you're looking for more local action, you might call Hendrick MINI in Charlotte (866-549-8105) to see if they know of anything locally.

I have been know to attend events occationally with both groups... you really can't go wrong as they both have some great people. Tarheels is a bit more active up in the R/D and W/S areas but that is just an excuse to go for a drive. M2C2 (Mini Motoring Club of the Carolinas) is centered out of Hendrick and also have some fun events. Just jump right in and welcome to the maddness!
