color mismatch

In case one wants to replace the gray ##### (im specifing it with the yellow arrows, cause i have no idea how they are called) on his mini with ones in the color of the body (as in the pic) when he orders them are they painted to the same color as the mini, or are they ready painted and just fitted?
I ask because if they are fresh painted, then there might be a slight color mismatch between the new fresh paint with the body color.

Funny thing is I saw that too. The post was about using orange which frankly I don't paticulary care for .But I agree the color is off looks like he may have had his arches painted to match body color which is Pepper WhiteCan't remember which post it was to reference.

I painted the wheel arches after I bought the car, obviously it doesnt come like that unless you get a special edition like the Laurel or a JCW kit from the factory.

It is PW color matched to the same exact computer generated color code from Mini's original PW. I had to buff it twice so it would not appear grainy because of the underlying plastic natural texture. The color is not off, you need to get your eyes checked.

Wheel arches... thats the name i was looking for!
Ok so back to the subject. I take it that those painted wheel arches, in order to purchase one, they dont come in painted by mini? One must order to paint it because they all come in gray? Correct?

Regarding the color mismatch (which ok, i accept that its not mismatching, maybe a shade is creating the issue) it can happen when a car is left outdoors in the suns view, because the sun has the tendency to whiten colors, so when comparing it to freshly painted materials it can be different. But like i said after you saying what you said its prolly a shade that cause the difference!
I dint get the BUFF part... do you mean that you painted it twice so that the grainy texture would dissapear by the thicker layer of paint?

Wheel arches come in black on regular normal MINI's.

Some of the special edition MINI's have had color matched arches as part of the package but usually you have to have a VIN matched to the package to order the arches.

As for painting the one you have. Many people have done it and any body shop can do it they just need to sand them good before painting to get the texture our of them.
