I am wanting to stay with 15 inch wheels for my 2008 Mini. As everyone knows the selection is limited and some dealers say that certain brands fit while others don't recommend the same brand as fitting. My confidence level with wheel brands and distributors is quite low. There are many 15 inch wheels that fit 1st gen Mini's. I have tried to go direct to the manufacturer off their websites to ask fitting questions on styles that I am interested in and they don"t respond to my inquiries. So to increase the chance of 15 inch wheels fitting (rear brake issue right?), I thought I'd ask the community how do you get a 15 inch wheel to fit. Can we decrease the offset and find more opportunity (45mm to 35mm)? Let me know your expertise, experiences and knowledge. Thanks for your help.

 

TireRack.com would be my first stop........ They list many 15's when searching for wheels for your 2008 Justa ........

But really, I would step up to 16's and get a set of Rota RB's........

 

Thanks. Tirerack is primarily where I look and have found very few good choices and less than exciting wheels for a 2nd gen base Cooper in 15 inch size. I also look at Discount Tire Direct. Other distributors list more choices to fit my Mini but again they list wheels that these two distibutors say won't fit. It comes down to credibility. Thats why I ask about offset. If many wheels won't fit because they may hit the rear caliper....would less offset like 35mm move the tire out far enough from the caliper to create more opportunities? Like I said the 1st gen has many options due to the smaller caliper size. Tirerack list many more under 2002 - 2006 models years. Still looking for advice....thanks.
