DSP limiting on the factory Head unit
My understanding is the factory audio head unit has dsp limiting on the rear channel outputs for the speakers. I have a 5 channel kicker amp and am wondering if I should only use the front speaker hi level outputs for the amp only and use the fader on the amp to drive all four speaker and sub. Or should I run the rear speaker high level ouputs from the HU too? On another thought, should I run the high level ouput for the rear speakers to my sub input on my 5 channel amp?
what year is you car? that make a BIG difference in how we can help you.
Also do you have the Base, HiFi or H/K system. They are all different.
But from 2007 to 2010 there is NO DSP but there is a bass filter on the rear channels of a Non HiFi System car. the HiFi system has two channels for each side for the rear and you need to use the amp input rather than output wires.
So answer the two questions at the top and we can help you out.

My vehicle is a 2009 MCS. It has the base model HU. I purchased the vehicle used with the stereo installed and have always disliked the sound quality. It currently has adjustable line out converters for the front and rear channels. They were turned up all the way and seemed to amplify a static noise I believe was comming from the HU which was driving me crazy. I'm wondering if I should just eliminate them and run the high frequence HU output direct to my amp since it can handle high or low frequency. My amp is a kicker zx700.5, all 6 speakers are kickers too with a 10" kicker sub in back.
Buzzing noises are usually ground loop noise and as such are very hard to find. If you remove the line converters then the problem may go away or may get worse. The ony way to know is to try it by testing without them in place.
It could be caused by anything from a bad ground on the head unit or amp to just some corrosion between body panels. There is onlyone way to deal with this and that is the trial process. Try something and if it works great if it does not then try something else.
