Traveling in Europe right now, have ? on MINIs we are seeing
Buenos Noches Everyone
We are currently traveling throughout Spain and Portugal and we've seen quite a few MINIs
The names on them are...
MINI one
MINI D
Im assuming (though I know thats never a good idea) that the D means Diesel.
Whats the difference in the MINI one specs and the Mini hardtop we get in the states.
Tried to do a search on this, but having a problem with the browser defaulting to Spanish on our netbook...
Thanks!
K.

Mini One and One D are detuned lower-power more fuel efficient, and cheaper versions for sale in europe.
Mini One has the normal 1.6L Cooper engine (non-turbo) detuned to give around 98hp. It can be ECU remapped to give the normal 121hp power of a Cooper.
The Mini Cooper D is a Cooper diesel (surprise!), with a 1.6L diesel engine.
The One D, like the One, just with diesel is detuned to give 90hp instead of 112 in the Cooper D.
mini.co.uk will give you specs, just don't forget any mpg figures are in Imperial gallons, about 1.2 US gallons

Thank you!
the poor MINIs over here take such a beating with the parking issues!
and it really is a MUST to have the side mirrors that move.
havent seen any different colors, though burnt orange seems to
be very popular!
