There was a proposal made at our annual meeting to eliminate the yearly dues that were required to be a member of M2C2. Since we did not have enough people for a quorum at the meeting, votes were requested via an email to all of our currently paid members. The votes came back in favor of eliminating the dues going forward.

So, from this point on M2C2 is offering FREE MEMBERSHIP!!! We are currently updating our membership application and bylaws to reflect these changes. We are hoping that this will allow more people to join our club and increase the level of participation at our events, so spread the word!

Although I didn't see the request, I would have endorsed the change to a dues free approach largely because it seems to work so well for the Tar Heel Mini club.

So can a member make donations? Or how will the community club raise money to compensate?

 

Yes, a member can absolutely make donations anytime! We will probably have one or two runs during the year where we charge a fee per car to raise some money. For example a poker run where we can give away a couple of prizes to help gain interest.
