Cleaning crayon off the headliner?

Yes there is a bit of red crayon above the back seat, it's pretty light but I'd like to get it out (came from a cranky three year old that now sleeps outside under the porch). Kidding, don't call DSS. Also wondering about cleaning a bit of bicycle chain grease off the A pillar.

Thanks,

Travis

Griot's Interior Cleaner took EVERYTHING from dirt to grease to general schmutz off the headliner of my old car.

Griots sounds like a plan. I do not want a large stain on the headliner if a cleaning solution leaves a residue.

Thanks,

Travis

Plan B if Griots doesn't work - Having raise 4 kids I have taken crayon out of most everything (crayon in a dryer with cloths). I used the goopy hand cleaner (not the orange stuff) you get in an auto parts store. It takes a bit of rubbing and maybe a tooth brush but it comes out. Also, you can finish up with a little soap and water or just warm water to flush it out afterwards. This should work on the chain grease also. Of course, try it in a hidden spot to make sure it doesn't stain.

You can always try Goo Gone too, but I don't know if it will leave a residue so test first. You would probably just need to go behind with a wet cloth and/or a cleaning wipe as well since the instructions say to use the Goo Gone then wash with soap and water... although I usually just rinse and it is fine. I have never used it in the car though. I know it works great on all manner of sticky things, and the label says it works for crayon as well.
