Anyone install any boost/ oil gauges on their new Countryman S? Curious to see what the dealers are charging to do it vs doing it yourself....thanks

 

I asked the same question not long ago with no reply. I'm going with a ScanGauge2 with a blendmount to attach it to the rear view mirror when ours arrives. It plugs into the OBD2 port. Really is important to know what the boost is as overboost can do all sorts of bad things to not only the unison ring in the turbo (effectively destroying it) but to head gaskets, etc. Well, that is, at least on a $15K diesel engine, which is just less than 1/2 the cost of a CM. For $150-$200 it's cheap insurance.

 

I originally ordered them, but then was told they're not presently available, so I wasn't quoted a price.
