MINI Countryman earns top safety pick from IIHS!

Great news! Huge win for the CM. CM got top scores with a stricter standard that the IIHS is using. It looks like the only other BMW brand car to get this rating is the 2011 5 series sedan. Nice to have this peace of mind for CM owners.

I noticed that in this video and the European tests, they use cars without the sunroof. Do they do that on all cars?

Congrats Mini! I myself have been considering one of these, and the top safety rating is helping to influence my choice. Attractive packaging, great options and color choices, excellent build quality. When I can finally test drive one, it’s probably coming home with me!

safety

My All4S was totaled in June. The front was a mess and roof was crinkled.
Inside was nice and tidy. I wasn't, but the car was. It sold me on the safety aspect.
I am headed to Dallas in few weeks to look at Mini's and Infiniti Ex35's. Should be a fun trip.

by the way, my wife and I have both. A countryman and ex35. The mini has more rear legroom than the ex35!

The ex is a very nice car though, lots of good technology, we bought ours new and it's proven to be very reliable at 45k miles, only oil changes have been necessary.

I tell you though, riding the CM vs the EX35, the EX35 drives as soft a s a buick, it handles decently but driving them back to be, the mini feels like a suspensionless go kart, and the ex feels like a buick!

If you have any questions about anything else on the EX35, feel free to PM me!
