Top holding up if parked outside?

I am thinking about geting a convertible mini. One concern I have is that the wife gets the garage, thus the Mini will be on the driveway, bless its little soul. Should I be concerned about the top deteriorating because it is left outside? Anyone else have experience with leaving the car out in the cold and not in a cozy garage?

Got my 2010 cabrio last August. Winter in the driveway was my concern too. I think keeping the top clean and treating it twice a year should do it.
Harsh winter here in CT, top still looks great. Buy it, you'll love it.

Did you drive it when the salt solutions were on the road? Did the fabric shed the salt after a wash?

I drive it every day, so yes in the salt solution. They must have treated the top at the dealership. From Aug. 1 until today, the water still beads up. Whether I sprayed it off or it rained, all's well. I'll treat it my self in April and then again in October.
