This is a newb wanting any input on a wheel bearing hub. I hit some ice on my way home last night and scratched my driverside front rim it looked superficial but when I got on the road the next day I could feel the wheel making a pulsating rubbing sound. I am thinking it is the Hub but any help would be greatly appreaciated.

 

I'm presuming your wheel made contact with a curb or some other object? If so, the two most likely causes of wheel vibration after an incident like that would be wheel alignment and/or balance. It's probably not a bad idea to have both checked at a reputable shop.

 

You probably bent the rim and you will at the least need the alignment checked.

Thanks guys yeah its was a bent wheel hub even though the rim did not bend the hub did. The kicker is when I went to pick it up from the dealer I had some rear quarter panel damage done to my car including cracked rear tail light and scratched trim. I spotted it right when I picked it up and brought it to there attention. The manager said that he would get back to me Monday after I was there for like 30 min. Well he did get back to me and someone admitted to doing it. They are taking care of me so I am happy and thankful for honest people.
