I have come across a shell and the VIN looks to be a later model around 1984 to 1989/ early 90???. I was wondering if there is any way to get a title for it using that VIN. Possibly a Bill of Sale? Thanks for any info.

 

I think the only person that can answer those questions is the person that provided you the shell. You'll need a title to be able to get it registered, if that's your question. A bill of sale won't be enough.

I was thinking that some states didn't need titles depending on the age of the car. I got an older VW from FL and titled it in SC with a bill of sale. I just didn't want to try and title the shell and open a can of worms, since I don't know any real history on it and it having a late model vin.
