Picked up a left over 2010 R57 Cooper on Jan 22. Noticed the car seemed to turn over slower than my month old R55 and made a loud noise when the starter was engaged. Also several times but not every time the red "oil can" appeared after start and stayed on for only a second. Oil level Checked out perfect. Five days ago stopped by dealer to have battery checked and after waiting an hour service manager tells me he is putting me in a loaner, tells me the oil pressure reading is to high and they are ordering a oil pump. He has never seen this before. Very odd. Called today and pump not here yet. If not pump could be a casting issue, that would be bad.

Any thoughts?

 

None really, just glad you have a warranty and feed us some more info as you get it.
