205/50/10 tires
Several tire companies make this tire for golf carts, and some are even DOT approved. Anyone ever use these? Seams like a cheap way to get max rubber on the road and with a 17.5 height gear the car down.
Many years ago I put something similar on my 62 Cooper S, problems included the fact that these tires have very stiff sidewalls, I think I only ran about 15 lbs air in them as the tread was so crowned - but back then the only other choice was the 145 Pirellis - they sure looked better! They also use a fairly hard compound, traction was just OK, and in the rain and snow it was pretty iffy!
But they looked good compared to those tiny little Pirrellis!
I'm pretty sure I have pics of it on this site, I'll look for it....

I hope you don't give that idea any further thought. Golf cart tires are not designed to carry the heavy loads (relatively speaking) that even a Mini will put on them. Check your Mini tire maximum load specs against those of golf cart tires.
that was my first thought ....
I'm not sure I'd want to try a golf cart tire at highway speeds with a Mini's weight on it.
I've also seen 10 inch trailer tires, but never seriously investigated for the same weight concerns.
Fortunately today we have a couple of choices anyway . . . I run 10 x 6 rims on the 79
