2nd Gen Blue MCS in the Raleigh area?? Possible thief?

Here's how I see things......

I popped into a local supermarket a couple of weeks ago and when I stopped there was no car parked in from of mine and I went into the store. I was looking for one specific item and they didn't have it so I left again almost immediately. When I walked out of the store and towards my car I noticed that a blue MCS was parked in front of my car, nose to nose with its engine running and its lights on. As soon as I blipped my keyfob to open the door it drove off. I thought this was weird at the time because he couldn't have been there for more than 2 minutes all told. Anyway, as I was driving behind it on Glenwood Blvd I tried to take a picture of his license plate with my phone to no avail and I only got a partial 'VX...' cos it was booking. Anyway, I forgot all about it until yesterday when I went out to change my stock wheels to some sweet white ones I bought off a fellow member on the forum and saw that 2 lugbolts from the drivers side rear wheel were missing. If the driver of the blue MCS hadn't acted so strangely I never would have suspected its occupant as the culprit and if I see that car again, which I have in the past, I am going to get his plate and I am going to file a report with the police. Maybe the driver has a record and it'd be nice to shovel a little onto his doorstep. Anyway, I took one of the lugbolts from the other side and replaced one on the drivers side so that they both have three bolts and I ordered a set of locking bolts cos you just never know who's around and trying to pilfer your stuff. A cautionary tale.

Anyone know a blue 2nd gen MCS in the Raleigh area??? I'd like to here from its occupant exactly why they acted so strangely.

Sounds like that person may have been trying to take your wheels and you foiled them.

Car thieves and vandals really s*ck.

If it was that guy who took your lug bolts, I seriously doubt that he was actually after your wheels in a supermarket parking lot. If your car had been resting on blocks, maybe so. He probably hustled pretty good just to get two lug bolts off during the two minutes you were gone.

He'd be my prime suspect too, but a couple of weeks passed before you noticed that bolts were missing. I hope the cops don't laugh in front of you when you file a report on two stolen lug bolts. I'd be irritated too, and I'd watch out for that guy, but it wouldn't be worth a face-to-face confrontation with what that could bring.

You're probably right, though he didn't know I was going into the store for 2 minutes. Usually you'd spend 20 minutes in a store. Still a little salty about the whole thing, just got my locking lug-bolts and I'll put them on this weekend before I think of parking it anywhere public, especially with its new wheels on.

Have to put the locking nuts back onto my other car as well before I find it up on blocks.
