R60 Did I get the right/best possible tires?
Did I get the right/best possible tires?
So I have a CM S on order, not the AWD, and I don't aspire to doing much in the way of spirited driving. I have two small kids in the back 95% of the time, so I'm sedate/leisurely/lightfooted in the interest of lower fuel consumption. Bit of a lead foot the other 5%, but, for the most part not.
I'm hoping for the most comfortable possible RF ride here.
I went with the All Weathers. Good? I don't have to worry about snow, but we have temps below 40 on a regular basis from Dec to Feb.
I currently have a brand new set of Yokohama Avid Envigors on the '04. Love 'em. Hmmm. I couldn't switch them out onto the CM could I? Different tire size required? Probably... Ah yes. I see they are.
TIA

Ah. No opinions.
Didn't think it was that dumb of a question. I've done some Googling and I'm not finding anywhere where the different types of Run Flats are compared when weather conditions don't clearly dictate one or the other. Generally the talk is RF v Conventional.

Not a dumb question, the run-flat all-season that are on our Countryman MINI are fine.
They handle spirited driving and our ice/snow conditions very well. We have been having mornings in the 0-15 range and no issues.
Our RFs are the Continental ContiProContact SSR All Seasons 205/55/17
Don't second guess your tire choice, not an issue.
When you run these until they get noisy or worn out in general, get a nice set of reg. all-season in the correct or +1 size.
