New brake pads for 08 Clubman

I own a 08 Clubman (with 38K miles) and I think it's time to replace the brake pads. I searched online for awhile and noticed that brake pad sets for Mini Coopers are much pricey so I would like to get one that will last longer. I would prefer to get one that has been used by Clubman owners. Any recommendations for suppliers/websites with the best prices will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks..

Dumb question, how many more miles does the computer say to needing brakes?

I also would like info on brakes. Thinking about the "EBC Green Stuff" brake pads. I've read they reduce the amount of brake dust which is what I'm looking for. I also have an 08 Clubman S and had the brake pads replaced under warranty at 30,000 but now pushing 45000 so will need new ones by the end of the year.

You should be able to find lots of posts on here regarding satisfaction with the EBC pads. I've put Hawk pads on mine and am extremely happy with the reduction in dust. Carbotech seems to get a few props as well.

I suspect you can't really go wrong with any of them.

Dealer replaced the brakes under warranty on my 08 Justa Clubman. Computer said I needed service and when I went in they said the front pads needed to be replaced. I was waiting to replace the pads with a set of EBC Red Stuff, wanted to run a ceramic pad and help reduce brake dust. So that week I ordered a set online and over the weekend swapped them out.

Brake dust is better, about the same as the back, and happy with performance.

I still have the oem pads with only a couple days, less than 100 miles, on them if anyone is interested I'll sale them for $50 +shipping.

Once mine run out, I am putting Carbotech Bobcats on mine. I have heard nothing but stellar reviews from folks in my club that have them. They have better performance, nearly no dust, and last longer than stock.

Carbotech Bobcats are very smooth. Just make sure you (or your mechanic) install them on fresh rotors and bed them in per the manufacturer's recommendation (it's printed on a small insert in the brake pad box). Carbotech pads are picky about the bed in process. Do it right and they'll last longer.
