Hey everyone,

So my dad and I did our own audio install for our '03 R53 (Gidget). We took out the entire interior and of course that means the seats as well. So after a lot of disconnecting and reconnecting the battery without the seats in, our air bag light is on.
So, I was wondering how to reset it. There is of course the option of going to Global Imports MINI but with ridiculous charges and a 2 hour drive, it not our favorite option.
Is there a tool or something that we could buy or rent to fix it? Or even better a little trick to reset it on our own?

You're screwed. Only the dealer can reset airbag codes. I did the same thing, however when I brought my car in they found a TSB out on it and reset it for free.

If you can find a B200 scan unit, you can do it yourself on the Gen 1 MINIs,
but I haven't seen one for sale online for quite a while.
