Antenna base loose after hit by snow - any ideas?
I was traveling at about 70 mph on the freeway and all of a sudden a large thick sheet of snow flew off of the top of the SUV in front of me. I thought that it would miss me, but it did some acrobatics and then came down and hit my roof....toward the rear. It was so loud that I pulled over and took a look at it. I was relieved that there wasn't any damage. However, I just looked at it again and the antenna base is loose. I can pull it about 3/16 of an inch up at the front of the base, and there is water within the base - it's been raining here.
Does anyone know how hard it is to move the headliner enough to get to the bottom of the antenna to inspect it?
Any other suggestions? I've got electrical tape on it now to seal it. I suppose that I could just pump some silicone sealant in there, but I'd rather fix it right.
And no, I didn't get the SUV's license number...stupid!
