I want to give this set of headlights to my daughter for her car. It is a mini Cooper S, 2007 R56.

The headlights are on eBay and I asked the guy if they would fit the car and he said yes, but I'm hesitant. This look like the headlights that attach to the bonnet, not like the R56 where the bonnet just has the chrome trim and the hole for the light.

i don't know but if you do get them and they work i'll be looking forward to seeing them in the car.

i agree with you, that isn't an r56 and i'd be hesitant to trust the guy who's not putting that right. shipping at 42$ would be ugly as you'd loose that and they pay to ship them back too. maybe someone else has actual experience and will know if this will work on an r56. i don't think that they are the same lighting assembly... then again i don't know a ton.

what's wrong with the lights you have? if you just want some cool led stuff on there, someone on here did a led strip between the bumper and bonnet that looked good. might be an option if that is the objective. or you can join the hunt for good led eyelids haha

 

No, they won't fit. Their chart says it fits older MINIs going back to 2002, so it is a 1st gen fitment and won't work for an R56. Their chart is almost correct for 2007. It will fit a 2007 convertible (which is a 1st gen R52) but the 2007 coupe is a 2nd gen R56. The person who assembled the chart probably didn't know about the split in 2007 models.
