So today I am doing a couple DIY tasks, I am going to tint the side markers and the beltline as well as the tail lights.

Has anyone had experience doing this? I saw the outmotoring kit available for the markers and the beltline. What type of tape should I use to cover the beltline? I have used the search button and have found many posts but none that specifically answer my question. Also has anyone applied vinyl to the tail lights? If so what thickness should I look for? I going to tint the tails ruby red and don't want to spend the 50 bucks for two pieces of vinyl. That goes for the side markers as well..
