I talked to Karen in sales this past weekend and she said that there will be one at the dealer on Saturday I believe was when she said. Call for more details. Just wanted to give everybody a heads up if you were interested.

I was at MINI of STL today for an oil change and they have Countryman in the service overflow lot!!!!!!!!!!! In case you were wanting to do some snooping, they are the larger vehicles MoSTL is not bothering to clear snow from.

I went to the MINI Club meeting on December 6, and got some pics:

Note that they actually had two of them on hand that night; one was up on a rack in the shop (with All4 - kind of cool to see that from underneath), and another in the Parts Dept display area.

Cheers,

Yeah, they had about 5 of them there total. 2 that were for sale, and 3 that were supposed to be picked up this weekend. However, they were telling me that if you get a "Justa" then you have to get a manual otherwise you will be disappointed.

I'd believe that...on the few times I've driven an automatic-equipped Cooper (vs my manual), I've noticed a distinct difference in pick-up and response. When you add in the extra weight of the Countryman, I think you'd just be asking for disappointment by spec'ing the base engine with the auto. Frankly, I think I'd skip the base engine altogether, even though I have no problem with it whatsoever in my Cooper.
