185/60/15 will work fine. So will 195/60/15.

I used 185/60R15 size on my first '04 Cooper, was quite happy with the size.
Not a great deal of selection in that size however...

185/60, 195/60, 205/55, 205/50, 215/55, 225/45 are the closest and most popular sizes in 15 inch tires when compared to stock 175/65/15's . The 205/50 are the furthest from stock but are being used for low profile applications and better handling. They lower the car also. I use 205/55/15 all season tires and like them alot.

There is nothing wrong with changing the tire size for the stock 15" tires.

185/60 will fit but tires are more for comfort and street use and less for good handling. 185/65 or 195/60 is worth a look.

195/60-15 is fine.

205/55-15 has some tires (9) that fit. Selection could be better

205/50-15 is short at 23.1" tire diameter over one inch less than stock, other than for performance driving is not a good size for street use.

215/55-15 shows no tires in that size at tirerack.com

225/45-15 is short at 23" tire diameter over one inch less than stock, other than for track or performance driving is not a good size for street use. Limited selection.

Not mentioned
185/65-15 is a good choice
