Yokohama advan AD08 to winter tires

Im running AD08's in stock size 205/45/17 on S light's. Best summer tires I have ever used. Starting to get way to cold for them! Im looking to go with 215/45/17 since there is hardly any 205's available.

I have been looking at
Blizzak LM-60
Dunlop M3
Pirelli sottozero
Michelin X-ice Xi2

They all run about the same price. Any input would be very helpful. We seem to get a lot of icy and slushy situations here in PA...

I was also thinking maybe WS-60 or WS-70. How bad will they be in the dry?

I have used pirelli 210 snowsports before on my evo for three winters and they had very nice handling, not mushy at all.

The Dunlop tires are my choice. Been using them for about 10 years now in various configurations. M2, M3, 3D's. All give a great balance of dry driving without a huge loss of ice and snow traction.

The best of that lot for snow/ice would be as follows

XI2
LM60
M3
Sottozero

For dry handleing the list is reversed.

Most Mini owners would be happy with the middle 2 options, the M3 or LM60.

Of the grouping on ice XI 2 is the best suited. Bridgestone Blizzack Ws70 also deserves consideration, being even better in ice that the Xi 2's.

Alex, Is the LM60 comparable to the WS70 on dry roads?

Is the LM60 worth an extra $60 over the newer ws70? Im looking to purchase winter tires this week from you guys.
