extended drive train warranty ?

My Mini Cooper 's warranty is over in February . I was one of the first to bring my car in for the cold start issue which after a few years was diagnosed as the timing chain problem . So for over two years nothing was done . I'm worried about owning the car without an extended warranty for obvious reasons . Does Mini Cooper offer an extended drive train warranty ?

yes, MINI does offer their own warranty. you can find more info from their website. depending on the year you choose, price vary but always with a $50 copay for every visit. it is quite expensive and you can only find out about the price through the dealer. and price varies depending on dealer's profit.

i also heard mercury insurance offer really good mechanical breakdown warranty, especially for bmw. price is reasonable.

you should call your dealer that you frequent and ask them about their price. good luck
