rally dream machine countryman drive train into r53/r56
i've always had this dream to see BMW/Mini take a R53/R56 add 4 wheel drive and go rally racing against the WRX, EVO and Focus RS
now that the mini countryman is here, anyone considering adapting a the 4 wheel drive system from the countryman to a JCW R53/R56?
I've read prodrive plans to field a countryman into WRC, but i wonder how the r53/56 chassis will do as a rally machine!

It would be inturesting for sure. Best bet is swaping into an R56, the engines in the Countryman and the R56 are supposed to be about the same. You would need to moddify the floor pan and the subframes but with enough money it sounds do able. On paper anyhow.
Hell there are kids converting Honda's to AWD/RWD using junkyard CRV parts and a welder.
