I had such a blast in the mini. It was the first time out since I purchased it.

The only thing I would like to ask. How and what can I do to get a little more power in lower RPM.

Your video brings back fond memories. I ran my MCS with a bunch of Porsches during one of their club meets a few years ago at our local SCCA track. I didn't pass any of them either, but I sure had fun trying

Low-end torque is elusive on small displacement motors that build power on high revs like the R53 Tritec does. The newest ('11) R56 engine produces considerably more low-end torque using variable valve timing and fancy turbo boost management.
Your R53 is nicely equipped. I believe a tuner (like RMW) would recommend replacing your cam with one designed for more low-mid range. Of course you'll sacrifice some top end as well, but this may be a reasonable trade off.
