Any information needed on mounting and the price for a roof rack for a clubman. I know nothing about this and would appreciate any help that you can give me.

 

The Mini rack gives you two cross bars. There's been several discussions here about that rack.
I've used the Mini rack with kayaks two ways.
1) Get some foam rubber hotwater pipe insulation (Cheap. Any building supply store). Cut it to length, put it around the rack bars and toss the boat on top. This works for a short haul with a relatively flat bottomed boat.
2) Buy Thule J-mounts for a more secure mounting. These barely fit on the rather 'fat' Mini rack tubes.

With either arrangement, screw the towing eye from the emergency kit into the front bumper to give yourself a lashing point for a bow line.
