Chip Tuning a 2006 Cooper Sport with Automatic

I am trying to find a chip tuner that will accomodate my 2006 R52 with CAI and a 17% reduction SCP. I thought a Conforti Shark injector was the answer but now I am finding this may not be the case since it does not specifically have programming for the reduced SCP and it does not tune the tranny computer. Does anyone know of a chip tuner that will meet my needs? Do I really need to be concerned with programming for the SCP? I have been told that a 15% reduction would not need to be tuned for. Is that the case? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. One more thing. I was wondering if anyone has considered renting out their tuner for a fee? Might be a worth while venture.

Tuning, if done right, will always help a MINI (especially with a pulley). There isn't any "chip" tuning that is worth the expense. Custom tuning or at least a good "canned" tune is the way to go. Check out RMW, Mynes & WayMotorWorks to start. The flash tuners available tend to be tied to VIN numbers so borrowing one is not likely to help you.

There are TONS of threads here & on other MINI forums that will give you the advice you want. Try a search using Google.
