Have some questions about Drag wheels...

I've been thinking of picking up a set of Drag DR16 wheels for my R56S. I have been shopping them on DiscountTireDirect - which fails to give some of the information that I'm wondering about. The wheels look to be 17x7, 4x100, 40 offset. Sounds perfect to me. But...

- Do I need the install kit that the website offers? I don't understand why the stock lug bolts would not work. Can someone shed some light on this?

- Does anyone have any fitment experience with Drag wheels and the R56 model? I have heard horror stories about wheels being drilled for 12mm when us R56 owners need 14mm.

Any input welcome. Thank you!

The head of the OEM lugs are just too big.

Tuner lugs are perfectly fine and work just as well and are cone seat. The issue is that the area that the lug bolt goes thru in the DRAG rim is narrower than that of the OEM rims.

I ran a set of DR-24's for a while. I loved them and had no issues.

My stock bolts worked fine on my dr-16s, unless they have changed the design should work fine.

We have DR-34's on our '08 and DR-9's on our '09. Both sets were purchased in the past year and everything worked fine.

Perfect - this is exactly what I wanted to hear. So I would not need the install kit they speak of. The price on these things is almost too good to be true.

FYI, discounttiredirect.com is offering $100 off plus free shipping on these wheels right now. $360 for a set of 4 shipped in the 17" variety.
