Best Grease for use on Sway Bar and Coilovers

Following install of Bilstein PSS10, Hotchkis Competition Sway Bar and Control Arms I have some creaking which is down to the lack of grease used by the installers and also the fact that everything was fitted and tightened with the car on axle stands so no load on the suspension.

I am taking the car elsewhere to get it sorted and was advised it is a good idea to get things properly greased which I would have thought would have been the case when everything was installed.

On my old car I had FK automotive coilovers and they came with some kind of lubricant spray. Just wondering what is best for coilovers and sway bar/control arms to keep the functioning correctly and reduce seizing and reducing creaking?

I would suggest:
Super Lube Silicon Grease
http://www.super-lube.com/greases-si...ase-c-4_53.htm
or
Green Grease
http://www.super-lube.com/greases-si...ase-c-4_53.htm

I used Green Grease on my sway bar bushings and it has lasted very well. I was able to find Green Grease at a local auto parts store (AutoZone in my case) in a kit that included a small grease gun and grease tube.

Wow, Andy that's a great idea....mine started squeaking about 6 months after I installed the rear bar, and I did install it on jackstands under the suspension arms so they'd be loaded. My bushings came with zerks but they don't seem to match my gun, I can't get the grease to go into them. Next time I'll try Andy's idea!

When I had my Alta 19mm bar installed, they used a copper grease. I have never had a squeak from what is known as a notoriously squeaky bar.

I have been told the zirk fittings on the Hotchkis stuff are not really adequate as grease will not get pushed into the bushing area enought using that alone. Not sure how true this is.

So seeing that winter is coming and I don't really want to be greasing a lot is the teflon tape best for long term fit and forget? Does it have to be adhesive or is the stuff that people use on pipe threads and radiators for the home sufficient.
