Just curious as to the tire/wheel combos for those runnin on 18's.

Im runnin Velox VX NOVAs 18x7.5 with 42mm offset. .
Tire wise I got the Nitto 450s @ 215-35-18. And they suck big time, I hate them. I would like to go to 225-40-18.

What is the tire for the 18 inch rim 215,225 35 or 40 series.

Ultimately, I would like a soft tire that has a bit of sidewall to help with the turns.
Who makes the best street tires that are soft, yet last a long time.

Falken, Toyo, Nitto, BF, Dunlop?

When you say soft tire- what charateristics are you describing?
I was a bit confused by - the sidewall comment.

Are you looking for a sticky high performance tire?

Are you prepaired to trim your fenderlips?

i suppose i mean a tire made of a more sticky compound. i wanna be glued to the road.

the less understeer the better.

im under the impression that certain sidewalls on tires flex in the turns and help promote good handling characteristics.

rolling the fenders is a must. is that what you are refering to?

I will concur that the NITTO NT 450's suck!!!! On my civic si My first set of tires were NITTO NT 555's I loved thoes tires I had no problems. Whin I moved to the 450's I found the the car would slide around. On top of that, they had a rounder profile and I found rubbing problems in front and back.

A question on the picture with the girl is that car tock height with 18"

Looks like it's stock height!

When I was shopping for 205/40/18 tires, I had the choice of Nitto Neo Gen and Toyo Proxes 4. After some research, I ended up with Toyo. Very satisfy with my decision!!

i have 225/35/18 bridgestone S03's on SSr comps, i havent found a better combo yet, thinking about trying some track tires, but so far non have match the traction, kinda weird, but i have a couple more to try, the extra 3/4 width makes so much diffrence......
