Yes!
We just bought our first MINI in July - a new 2010 MCS - what a hoot - already put 2,600 miles on it. (The PT Cruiser it replaced only saw 6K a year). "Grover" is the wife's car, but it has been a good learning experience for me. Have been setting it up for her from info gleaned on NAM and local clubs. Went with Koni FSD's, Michelin Primacy MXV4's, Slime spair kit etc. Got the oil change tools, oil filter and Mobil 1 0W/40 all ready for the first oil change. Going to wait 6 months or 10K whichever is first. We added window tint and chrome wheels.
Should have got into sports cars way back. My Dad had a Morris Minor and I have a picture of me age 10 maybe sitting on the body contour of a red '50's Austin Healey he had. I remember had to be late 1960's or early 1970's one summer on the back roads of eastern Washington a pheasant flew up and took out a fender mounted mirror on the Healey. Dad dressed and cooked the rascal up - but I would have nothing to do with it.
