iPhone 3G + iOS 4.1 Yippie!

Hey guys,

I have an '08 Cooper S Clubman which I've been using with my iPhone 3G via the Y-connector.

When I upgraded the iPhone to iOS 4.0 (and 4.0.1 and 4.0.2) it seemed like the headunit had trouble connecting to the phone. It would either connect and then quickly lose the connection, or take a long time to connect, or not connect at all. Overall the navigation through playlists, etc. via the headunit's dial was sluggish. I figured this was due to the general slow down in functionality with iOS 4.0 on older iPhones.

Well good news! Last night, I upgraded to iOS 4.1 which was supposed to address performance issues on the iPhone 3G specifically, and while it did help with normal phone functions, it also helps with the connection issues I was having with my MINI. Connection was lightning quick and navigation is noticeably snappier.

Definitely a worthwhile upgrade if you're using an iPhone 3G!!
