I just got back from an awesome cross-country road trip with my girlfriend in my new '10 Mini Cooper S. I was sad to see my '03 Mini go when I traded it in this May, but I knew I made the right call when I put over 10,000 miles on the new one just during our 6-week trip, which included long drives through remote parts of the country that lack cell phone coverage(AT&T).

It seemed like everywhere we went, people were looking at us like we were crazy for being so far from home in such a small car. No one could believe we fit everything we needed for a trip that big (clothes, camping supplies, a cooler, food, etc.) into the back of the Mini, and without even blocking the view out the rear window. When I have a chance, I'll share some of the highlights of the trip on here (we drove on some really awesome roads, especially out west), and I'll post some of the pictures we took of the Mini in all kinds of scenic spots.
