need help cd player din

need help cd player din

ok i just got a mk1 mini and their is no radio aka old car but when i go on long drive i need music. i am looking for the little din that holds the cd player under the dash, anyone know where i can get one? thanks

Under the dash? Assuming you mean IN the dash--where the radio is supposed to go--I see the adapter bezels on eBay quite often, for cheap...along with the wiring harness, to plug right into the factory wiring.

haha no under the dash ya i know it sounds funny but the big spedo is in the middle and their is a glove box lid on both sides so no damn room.

I am assuming ellcapitan doesn't understand what you area asking. I just looked at my brothers mini and it is just a holder that mounts the radio. I would try the radio store and just explain what you need. Good luck

i know im sure he dose not but it just sounded funny. ya i can just fab something up but i thought their was something made of plastic that looks more oem thats all

OOOooops! Just realized I veered off into "Classic Mini Talk". Sorry, I don't know anything about these cars, except that they do NOT make mower-decks for them...I checked.

Your other option might be a centre console - but I'm not sure how that would work if you really have a MK1 with a magic wand

I've a console in my 79 and that's where the head unit sleeps

sleeps cuz the car is usually so loud that despite the 6x9 speakers in the back I just prefer to listen to the heart beat . . .
