MINI Competition via Infiniti ?!
It's a strange little trucklet/wagon, that's for sure. Too bad the Delorean-style full-height gullwing doors aren't expected to make it into production, because unlike its stainless steel predecessor, the ones on the Infiniti might actually work properly.
I really have not liked a single Infiniti design for quite a few years now (since the last G35, to be exact). I don't care for the looks of their vehicles AT ALL, which is strange, because I do tend to like Nissans. That Murano-clone SUV of theirs with the huge wheels is just plain UGLY, and sorry, but I can think of lots of nicer-looking cars than the G35 (a Focus, for example. A Mustang, for example). I think the M45 is easily on the short list for the ugliest large sedan ever produced. I mean, a Crown Vic puts that thing to shame. The headlight styling definitely bugs me with all of their cars, but I also just don't like the shape. They just scream "boring wannabe sporty-and-exciting" to me.
I'm glad to see any carmaker unveil a small design, but this new Infiniti looks like a Hyundai from the front and a Crossfire from the rear, and is drowning so badly in passionless boredom that it makes me want to go rent a Cavalier. It has that funky (and I mean BAD funky), awkward, AMC Eagle stance to it.
I'm done ranting now.

Is that a VIDEOPHONE in the last picture?! I thought cellphone drivers were bad enough...some genius thought it would be a great idea to put a videophone in a car? OK, that's it...I'm taking the Mini, and moving to Antarctica!

Look how crowded the interior appears. MINI is positively spacious by comparison.
