Xenon Headlights

I am new to this group and can not find how to start a new thread, so I found this one which is close and new aug. 2010. My question is this. Has anyone had dealings with an online co. Called "HID Xenon Headlights Kits" they offer kits for Mini's for 79.99$ Are they any good? Thanks, Dennis

Good in what sort of way? Light output? Longevity?

Overall putting HID bulbs into halogen housings will lower your light output and is considered illegal due to the danger of blinding oncoming traffic. Especially when using the higher color temperatures, you end up putting out much less light on the road so you lose visibility over your stock headlights.

In terms of quality, the low price bulbs you see around are usually on the lower end of the scale. Phillips and the other well known companies make a higher(OEM) quality bulb if that's what you're looking for.

I was thinking about getting PIAA bulbs. How are those, if anyone knows?
