I just got the clutch masters stage 1 clutch and lightweight flywheel in about June. Now, the clutch is slipping. Since they put the clutch in the peddle has had almost no play in it. Now if I give it gas it goes on pass where it is grabbing then once I let go it comes back. I don't drive exceptionally hard. Only on occasion. There is no way that I have fried this clutch already. Is there a simple way of adjusting the clutch? I know that it is completely hydraulic but there has to be something I can do or check out that could be a simple solution rather than dropping 1k to get access to the clutch. Any help or ideas for what I should look at?

 

I don't know much but try bleeding the hydraulic clutch line. My mechanic (non-mini) friend said to just pop the top of the brake fluid res. and open the bleed nut on the slave cyl to "gravity bleed" it. when you see no more bubbles coming out, you're done. Make sure you don't run it out of fluid - keep topping up to where it was.

Also, just fill the res. up to where it was (if there was enough in it in the 1st place). You don't want to over-fill the brake res. or when you go to do the brake pads and press the brake cylinders in, it'll push fluid right out the top of the reservoir.

 

So the line has been bleed and the brake fluid is at the exact same level it was as soon as I got the car back. The clutch fluctuates between more and less slip. The easier I am on it, the better it gets. Could it have just worn weird after a bad shift and it just needs to be re-worn in?
