Last summer!



Since the winter is finaly leting go, i decided to change back to my summer wheels again today.

Sadly, after all four rims were washed i found this crack on the inside of one the rims!



Is this possible to fix? by welding?

Yep get a new one. I wouldn't trust to have a crack like that fixed.

 

I do believe if you contact the seller of the rims they would like to know why the rim cracked like that. It may have been a flaw in the rim that the manufacture knows or would like to know about and will replace it for you. It does not hurt to ask. Let us know how you make out.

 

i would not trust that rim even after a repair to have the structural integrity it had before the crack occurred. Not worth taking the chance, IMHO.

 

I bet that tire is flat with that crack. Yup, call OZ and they might replace for free if they want to stand by their product.

 

How can i get a new rim when oz stopped producing superleggera 3 years ago?
The tyre is actually not flat, and the crack look much bigger on the picture then it is.

The roads in norway are extremely harsh, with holes and bumps all over!
Why do i pay 550 dollars in roadtaxes every year?! where is my flat and smooth roads?

so, my only option is to get new rims?
this sucks!

I'll try to give the dealer i baught the rims form a call...

Like most wheel comapnies don't warranty road hazards.

www.wheelcolision does excelent work if you'd like tyo repair it - Though this not my personla favorite thing to do....
