webspoke help?

hi all
bent a 17" webspoke from my 2010 mcs this past winter and have been waiting for nyc to fix all the potholes. ive found one from the marketplace but it is from an r53 and i hear that they have a different bolt diameter than on an r56. also am woried that if they are differnt wheels that it might cause some warning from the tpms. can anybody verify that webspokes from and r53 are the same wheels as the webspokes from an r56
thanks in advance

Hi wkim711,

I believe the change in diameter you're referring to is the size of the bore for the lug nuts. They're larger for the R56, but are backward-compatible.

Please, someone, correct me if I'm wrong on this.

(Have a new set in my office with new Hankook EVO Ventus V12s waiting to go on my MINI as I type this.)

according to Real OEM, both models share the same wheel part No, however the R53 hub has a stud size/pitch of M12 X 1.5 and the R56 hub has a stud size/pitch of M14 X 1.25, having said this, the taper seat of the wheel bolt is what locates the wheel, and not the stud thread.

Spot on. OP should have no problems with these fitting an R56.

it should fit!

I have the webspokes from an R56 on my R52 with my stock lug bolts. Apparently all OEM wheels have approx 16 mm lug bolt holes and work with either the 14 mm or 12 mm lug bolts.
