recover a seat - a little venting
I've Cobra Classic seats in the 79 and the driver side was a little ruff when I got the car and 6 years have added to that so I thought I'd get it recovered. Why toss it and contribute to a land fill and all that stuff.
I've been to four auto upholstery shops and I'll say one thing, they are consistent. $350 to $400
So much for trying to save a buck by recovering .... I can get a new seat for $300.
According to the shops, since the seat is still being mass produced it is cheaper then asking for a custom made one. So why do people recover furniture?
Just venting and maybe there is someone who does seat recover in their garage out there just waiting to do this job....

As far as I know Capt BJ...no one 'recovers' Upholstered Furniture anymore??
I could be wrong, but unless it is of some Value either $$ wise or Sentimental I don't see the point in Re-upholstering.
