hard time starting the car

Was sputtering, felt almost like it was bad gas. happened twice before but today got a check engine amber light. dropped it at the dealer. was doing a search and boy do these cars have a history of this crap

Likely the high pressure fuel pump.

Very likely the fuel pump. I had that same issue and it did turn out to be the pump. Gas mileage was terrible too until I got it replaced at the dealers.

just got the car back fuel pump and hose were changed. I can't believe how many mini's have defective fuel pumps this should be a recall.
BMW is really looking like Toyota. I am glad the government is making an example of Toyota Hope they fine the crap out of them so these other companies might face up.
