TCE 13.1 brake kit on a R56

I am currently installing the TCE Plus 4 13.1" brake rotor kit on my R56. The rotor hats are drilled for 12mm studs (I have the TSW 14mm-12mm conversion). I noticed that the 14mm portion of the TSW studs extends out of the hub a couple of mm's, maybe 1 or 2. This interferes with the fitment of the rotor hat, not allowing it to sit flush.

Not a big deal, I can just bevel the back side of the rotor hat so that the 14mm portion of the stud doesn't interfere. I just have never heard anyone here indicate that they have had this problem. That got me to wondering, am I somehow installing the top hat incorrectly? (I can't see how this could be, they only fit on one way) Has anyone ever installed a TCE Wilwood kit on an R56?

Bumping for an answer.

I finished installing the brakes by beveling the back side of the rotor hat and everything seems good. I am still curious about how others have handled this.

I have a 06 GP with TSW 14-12 conversion studs. I also had to mill the holes on the back of the TCE/Wilwood rotor to clear the shoulder on the studs.

I called TSW about the studs and they agreed that there was a little shoulder that sticks out, even when installed properly. They said they enlarge the rotor holes on the rotors they sell.

I guess there must be some manufacturing differences that allow the 14 to 12 step to be past the hub in some cases. It must be a common problem because TSW was aware of the issue.

Did you remove your rotors when you installed them? The do not stick out past the rotor top hat, but they do stick out past the base of the hub.
