Need a little tire advice
I was planning on buying the Potenza Grids in the size 215/45/17from tire rack based on the recomendations from members of NAM. When I was looking for the shop that I would use to mount the tires I deiced on Autotire based on reomendations from the St. Louis MINI Club. I checked out what tires they had in stock and all the tires they have are much cheeper than the ones on tire rack. The price on their page even includes mounting, balancing, and TMPS transfer. As for the tires on their page do any of them compair to the Grids? Why is their such a price difference? Thanks.
I can't get the link to go to the page I was viewing but just put in the zip code 63301 and select view by tire size, and put it 215/45/17.

I didn't see any options that were really cheaper. The grids were 119 plus ship ($10) and install ($25) costs....so your final is about 155 per tire...The tires on that site for that cost and below are not better than the grids.
Personally I recomend the Dunlop sp sport signatures for $98 per tire. They rated slightly higher than the grids and are about $80 cheaper for a set of 4

You know I just realized that I thought the price was for all 4 tires, but it is just for one! Tire Rack is defiantly the way to go! And I'll have to check out the SP Sports. Thanks
