power steering fluid

power steering fluid

yesyes i have searched and seems like chf 11 is the way to go.

damn pricy lol

i also read that you can use mercedes benz power steering fluid?

i also own a 2002 c230 and needed powering steering fluid cause it was running low. went to benz and got a some for $9.90!

can i use this in my mini too?

If it doesn't say CHF-11 on the bottle, I would stay away from it. No personal
experience, but I know the power steering pump replacement is very pricey.
That was with doing all the labor myself!

Not sure where you got that idea...vw does use the same petrosin on some cars...still $$ stuff...NAPA usually sells it if you need it....mixing fluid types can cause the gaskets, o-rings, and boots in the rack to swell and leak...and while the part is cheap...a few hundread...the labor is muli-days long!!! Don't do it!!!! If you are wrong, it is a multi thosands of dollars to fix...more than a clutch by the #'s I've heard!!!
To put it simply...why chance it...ang if BMW could use a cheaper product...and cut costs if it was the same, don't you think they would have?!

just trying to make the point....sometimes things are worth a chance...some things, just not worth it.
The ps system normally does not need more fluid, if it needs replenshiment....look closely for leaks!!
