Crank sensor o ring

Well after the month long clutch job from hell, and replacing the oil pan gasket and the main seal, i still have an oil leak, after some thread searching it seems like its the crank sensor o-ring. Now i know you have to take the front of the car of (to do most things on the mini..lol) but how difficult is it to remove and re-seal the o-ring? Does the radiator, compressor, etc have to come off?

no way!!! first if you have small hands you can get that sensor out without taking anything off. (but not everyone has little hands). If you take off the bumper and put the radiator support in the service mode you should be able to get that crank sensor out no problem.

I have an oil leaking running down the front of the engine, being blown back along the oilpan towards the drain plug. I thought it was the missing O ring on the oil dipstick, but after replacing that, the leak still exists. Could it be the O ring at the base of the dipstcik tube or is it crank sensor O ring? Before I tear apart the car I'd want to have both O rings in hand..thanks in advance for any help!

If you can't find the cause of the leak go buy the dye to put in the oil. I think NAPA sells it or go to a trusted repair shop. just found this kit http://www.autobarn.net/leakdeteq1.html
